Amiko Bio(graphy)
Amiko is a fast-rising music artist blending heartfelt storytelling with infectious melodies. She has a background in music and soccer and is relatively new to the music industry as a writer, arranger, and lead vocalist, bringing a fresh, empowering voice to the pop, country pop, rock, and electronic dance music scene.
She was born on a U.S. Army military base in Japan. Amiko’s stage name carries deep personal significance—gifted to her by a Japanese elder who cherished her as a baby. She sang her first song early—at about 11 months old—start to finish in both English and Japanese.
In mid-2024, she decided to go for it and live out her lifelong dream to write and sing. Amiko quickly carved out a unique space where music, sports, and personal empowerment intersect.
As a former player and youth soccer coach, Amiko has dedicated much of her life to the sport. She also explored a lifelong commitment to writing poetry since childhood and played the flute for 12 years.
Amiko is also a multi-talented individual and can easily navigate stadium match hosting, interacting with a stadium filled with fans of soccer, baseball, football, hockey, tennis, futsal, basketball, and even auto racing—from NASCAR to Formula 1.
As an entrepreneur, she has been inspired by childhood initiatives related to movement, physical education, and nonprofit volunteer work. A self-proclaimed distinction was a recognition that she is the “world’s first singing soccer coach,” which allowed her to merge her passions with a tactical and strategic vision through her creative endeavors—redefining representation in music, fashion, sports, and the combined physical literacy and music movement.
Her hit singles Reckless Klubjumpers (Sean Finn Remixes), Signs of Life, and her latest release, Signs of Life Featuring Blackwell, feature a hip-hop artist and producer who is also a U.S. Military Veteran. All her current releases showcase her dynamic vocals on high-energy remixes that have reached #7 on the UK Music Week Commercial Pop Club Chart, as well as Top 40 to Top 10 in Brazil and France.
Brazil saw Amiko dominate @radio.fm100’s #1 position for 11 consecutive weeks, with 32 weeks on their Top 30 chart inside the Top 20.
With last year’s entry onto six regional U.S. radio stations, Amiko is delivering the message that she is ready to compete.
With a bold vision for the future, she is just getting started—blazing a trail where no one person in music and movement—especially soccer—has gone before, blending together a powerful harmony and inspiring others to embrace creativity, while aiming her sights on the sound of soccer in time for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, 2026, and FIFA World Cup competitions that celebrate a mutual passion for the beautiful game and her music to go with it.
